Hey guys! I’m so excited to share Carbon 38 with you! I just recently discovered this little activewear gem and I’m obsessed! If your work out wardrobe is in need of a boost here is your answer! I’m hoping over time I can continue to add pieces as I progress in my training. …. which actually lends me to some exciting news I have to share…

Many of you have been asking about my work out regimen and diet. This has motivated me to think of a cool way that I can start sharing more content around working out, diet, and really just finding and maintaining balance in life. This is an area I’m super passionate about and have wanted to incorporate more into Happily Grey. Sooooo to officially kick off this new series of content I’m excited (and nervous) to share I’ll be running my first half marathon through Music City on October 31st! This is something that has been on my list for awhile now and I’m ready to finally make it happen! Over the next 8 weeks I will be sharing a narrative through Happily Grey and my social channels giving insight on my training schedule, apparel,  playlist, and diet. Through my training I will be teaming up with Jamba Juice and highlighting some of my favorite juices, energy bowls, and smoothies!

Today officially starts my first week of of training! Although I typically run 4-5x/week I’m making a point to stick to a training schedule since this is my first go at it. I’m thinking about using the Hal Higdon program…have you used this one or know much about it?

  1. This is a very cute active wear outfit! I get so into dressing cute for the gym and I think a lot of women don’t think you can dress well while working out, but these are great pieces. I love the cute details like the crossed back straps and paneled pants. Love!

  3. I used Hal Higdon for my first half and first full marathons (I think Novice I for both) and have continued moving up the programs over the years. Just stick to the schedule and you’ll do great – good luck!

  4. Working out is obviously way better when you have a sweet outfit to do it in. I have never heard of this company before but my gosh is it ever cute!

  5. Congrats on deciding to do your first half! Hal’s training programs are famous for a reason, if you use his you will definitely be prepared. For my second I did lower distances and more interval training which really helped bump up my pace. Good luck and I will definitely be following along!

  6. Good luck on the half marathon! I did my first one last year, and I used the Nike running app. It has free training programs for beginners, intermediate, and experienced runners. I would check it out! It worked really well for me!

  7. Hello! Very excited to read more about your healthy lifestyle! I am passionate about it as well.
    I ran my first half in June using one of Hal’s training guides. I did incorporate a 13 mile run and 14 mile run in training. I highly recommend doing that!

  8. Congrats on running your first half marathon. I am on my 5th half marathon and running my first full marathon in October as well! The higdon program is great and you will be in good shape for your race. I have not been consistent with my training which is rather scary since race day is right around the corner but once you cross that finish line, every bit of sweat and pain will be worth it!
