“Hi from Lagos, Portugal! This is the third stop on our three week travel adventure, and I have to say it’s definitely my favorite (which says a lot, given London is in this mix)! I can’t wait to share it all with you very soon!

As you know I’ve been training to run my very first half marathon in Nashville on October 31st. Since we are on the road for nearly the full month of September, I’ve been training in some pretty incredible cities to say the very least. With a hectic schedule through fashion week I’ve had to schedule out dedicated times and locations for my runs in order to stay on track. This entire training process has been simplified and held me accountable through one app. Ever used the Runkeeper app? You might have seen it on some of my recent social channels. I am a massive fan and excited to tell you a little more about it!

Runkeeper is a free app designed to help set you goals, reach goals, get motivated, and track the progress of your runs. It is the one and only app I’ve used consistently and found to be helpful in holding me accountable and improving my runs…especially while maintaining a demanding travel schedule.

My experience and highlights…

Runkeeper Go, Runkeeper’s premium subscription service, takes your individual goals and abilities and helps create a tailored work plan for specifically for you. Given this is my first marathon and with a month of travel before I’ve decided to keep it light and go with a beginners plan. Every day I have a new workout plan to help maximize my time and keep me on track. I can view these workouts throughout my entire training period making it easy to plan in advance to ensure I am staying on schedule.

During each workout there are audio cues that guide me to either pick of the pace or slow down. This is my absolute favorite feature! It is very helpful…especially in new cities, running new routes. Time, mileage, calories, and GPS data are all collected. Over each run you have a detailed overview to review. It has been interesting to see the difference in running in NYC, London, and now Portugal. The elevation factor here in comparison with the flat cities is really hitting me!

Have you ever used Runkeeper? Thoughts/experience? Did you catch the Instagram giveaway for 5 free subscriptions to Runkeeper Go? This is by far the best running app I’ve ever used. I’m excited to be able to team up with them and share this experience with you! Stay tuned!”

  3. I have never tried Runkeeper, but to be honest I’m not really a runner. I prefer other types of workouts instead. It sounds like a great app and if I were to run I would definitely use it. I love your workout outfit. Those leggings are fantastic. Good luck with the marathon. I give you a ton of credit. That is a major task to take on.
