It’s always bittersweet watching NYFW come to an end….especially this particular season. To be completely honest, this is one of the most inspiring and exciting NYFW I’ve been able to be apart of. Everything from the colors, structure, prints…especially the mix of sweet/edgy pairing. The overwhelming theme was definitely the cool, down to earth girl rocking a pair of menswear loafer paired with a delicate fabrication. Very boyish, flirty fit but still sweet at the same time. Marisa Webb, Noon by Noor, Nanette Lepore, Misha Nonoo have absolutely ruined me. Spring 16 can’t can’t come soon enough.
You may have noticed extra attention around my shoe wear choices throughout the week. I’ve been so excited to team up with powerhouse, Brazilian Footwear, made up of a variety of different Brazilian shoe lines including Corso Como, Schutz, Ipanema, Zaxy, Cristofoli, Vinci, Raphaella Booz.
Over the last 8 days I’ve worn more than 10 different styles running around to shows, meetings, and a couple of cheeky shopping excursions =) Shoes are by far my favorite and strongest accessory. I’ve always favored simple colors and silhouettes, leaving a little legroom to be more punchy with shoe wear. One of my favorite looks I wore over fashion week was head to toe denim paired with the 70’s Rapaella Booz mule. Again, understated pieces drawing the attention back the accessories.
What did you think of the choices this week? Any favorites? Vinci absolutely won me over.
PS-We’re off to London now! As many times as I’ve visited I still get the same child like excitement going back. Excited to attend a few LFW shows and also spend some time catching up with friends. I’m actually going to my first rugby game tonight which I’m VERY excited about. I’ve even got an England jersey!
