Hey guys! Sharing more from my running wardrobe tonight…which will soon be a mini Nordstrom department at the rate I’m going. I have to say their active wear, specifically running gear, is SO good at the moment. All the pieces I’m wearing above are basically the double I’ve bought after really enjoying the first round. I have this sports bra in three colors now and probably wouldn’t turn down a fourth if I could find it in blue!

Also  wanted to answer a few questions I’ve gotten through email specifically about my running schedule/routine…

What I enjoy about running? I’ve never really viewed running as a work out. It’s always been time away, time for thought, a time where everything else becomes very small. It’s an outlet, a stress reliever, an escape.

What equipment do I use? Huge pro to running is it requires very little gear. Ultimately when all else fails you can always go for a run, but given it’s something I enjoy almost everyday I give extra attention to four things:  1. Trainers- take the time and go to a running specialty store; they will tell you exactly what you need dependent on your arch and stride.  2.Leggings – long distance runs absolutely require a good pair of leggings. Zella, Nordstrom activewear line, has some great options. Highly recommend it! 3. Headphones – some running enthusiast would not support this but I have a real dependency to music while I run. It’s one of the reasons why I enjoy running so much. Never anything upbeat- for years I’ve preferred mellow, slow tunes with a lot of thought behind them…Currently on repeat: Allman Brown, Joshua James, Ed Sheeran. I use Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats wireless headphones; Skullcandy is also great if you’re looking for something less expensive and don’t mind them not being wireless.  4. Sports bra- something very supportive and made of a good wicking material to keep you dry and cooler. This Nike one I’m wearing here is great! I have it in grey, tie dye, and this white.

Where do I run? Always outside weather permitting, however I tend to become a gym rat when the temps get really cold. My favorite running spot in Nashville is Percy Warner at the horse track. The grass is perfect for barefoot running which is always my preference if I can. Cold morning dew, sunrise, running barefoot..ahh it’s amazing! Other places- Greenways, Centennial Park, along the Cumberland River, Belmont Rd….

How far do I run? I run anywhere from 16-24 miles a week depending on time and my schedule. Of course when I’m traveling I’m typically on the lower end of that.

Hope that provided a little insight on my running routine….let me know if you have any other questions! xx
