My Style

I was indecisive between the bare shift or added accessories, so I decided to show both. I kinda felt like I was drowning in resort wear with the hat and scarf, so maybe that’s what promoted to shoot the rest without. I really just think it’s all about what your doing, where your going. Nonetheless, the shift is very transitional, and can be worn through fall. I’m also thinking a navy/white striped 3 quarter length shirt would be cool underneath as well.

I’m thankful for all your recent compliments on my images. Shooting pics is always this internal act of deliberation to expose my thoughts, story, emotion related to the look. There is really nothing natural or easy about it…for me at least. Especially when you put two people together with medical backgrounds that know absolutely nothing about photography. Best attempt.

    1. I totally agree! These are one of my favorite pairs of boots I own! Thanks for stopping by Dina…have a great week!

  1. Wow, so weird – when I was scrolling down, I kind of thought to myself that the hat and scarf were a little too much and that the outfit without them shone brightly enough – and then you echoed my thoughts in the paragraphs below! Ha, loving the simplicity of the shift dress and how the leopard clutch adds a great touch. 🙂

Keep up the lovely work! And medical backgrounds? Kudos.

    1. Hi Valerie! Ha yea it was a little much for me too for just everyday. I would totally go that direction for resort wear of traveling. I’m excited to transition it through fall! Thanks so much for stopping by ….have a great week!

  2. Love the look and have always loved your style. Am working on launching a blog and your comment about medical backgrounds is encouraging, as my husband and I are a similar situation!

Keep up the awesome shots. Whatever you two are doing its working, and I’m a fan!

  3. Love the accessories with the dress! I’ve been trying to think of new ways to wear my denim dress so I love the inspiration! xx N

    1. Thanks Nina!! I hope you are doing well! I just waiting for another conference so we can catch up! I was in Houston a few weeks ago but it was literally for 2 days to visit family so I didn’t have too much free time. I might be back in October! I will let you know if I am! Have a great week!

  4. The shift dress is gorgeous and love those boots your paired with it!!! Plus, I adore the Clare Vivier clutch.
    Love your style!!

    1. Thanks Rose! The subtle leopard on denim is what sold me! It’s an easy shift that can be carried through fall with tights, coat, and ankle boots! Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Love the outfit both ways. I agree with you that it depends where you are going/what you are doing. Love your blog and your pics are fab:D

  6. I just bought this dress and it’s so comfy! I wore vince camuto ankle booties (the ones with spikes that you’ve featured before), and it was super cute! Now I’m thinking I need these boots now too! Thanks for adding to my wardrobe! I’ve silently been stalking (in a non creepy way of course) your blog for over a year now and have purchased a ton from it!

    1. You just made my day! Thanks so much Gina! I love getting to share my inspiration..hearing positive feedback just makes it that much better! Thanks for all your support!
