With the recent freezing temps in Nash, this Max Mara teddy bear coat is the only thing getting me out and about!

Thanks to The Cut I know that the teddy bear coat got it’s start in postwar Britain. It makes sense since anytime I wear it feels like a proper nod to vintage. Fun fact, it was actually first designed for men! I laughed a little thinking about Mad leaving home in this… But if you know me, you know I love a gender-neutral pieces! I borrow from the boys all the time.

Faux fur pieces are everywhere this season, but Max Mara is responsible for the teddy bear coat being a  hero piece. The coat first graced Max Mara’s 2013 Fall/Winter Runway and has been coveted since. It’s become a true icon.

VERSATILITY. . . My favorite part about the coat. I can dress it down with sneakers, good denim, and a beanie or barrettes for day, or pair it with a black slip and booties for a night out. Either way the coat elevates the outfit and while keeping me super cozy.

Few iterations of the teddy bear statement compare to Max Mara, but if your not ready to splurge and still want to try the trend out- here are some more affordable options.  Something tells me they will be around for seasons to come.

  1. I did not even think before coming here that I could read such a great topic. How can a person communicate so nicely? I want to come here again because I do not want to miss such a good post. There is nothing to say.

  2. That looks like the perfect coat that will keep you warm…and stylish too. I was looking for hoodies with original designs on them that’s when I stumbled upon a blue t-shirt with the slogan “I quanta believe” written on it. Frankly, I didn’t know what the word “quanta” meant so I looked it up and I was like “wow”. The store was called Mohamed’s Store named after the owner Mohamed Ben Ali who is an E-Commerce graduate. It sells t-shirts, hoodies, posters, stickers, wall tapestries, smartphone cases… Other t-shirts were with slogans in French, Swedish and Portuguese. It is definitely worth checking out. I really liked one poster of the beach so I bought it and decorated my room with it.
