PRETTY IN PEARLS
BeautyI typically like to keep things pretty simple when it comes to every-day make-up..whatever looks natural and cuts down on time is a win ;). But with the holidays coming up, I thought I would try a few out of the box looks!!
If you’re like me, and like to play it safe, I find that doing something fun with the eyes is a greatttt place to start! For this first look, I tried out a pearl accent lining my lower lid paired with a bold red lip. Can’t wait to hear what you think!
Step 1. Start by applying your makeup like you would for a typical day or night out. Because I knew I was going with a bolder lip and an accent with the pearl under my eye, I wanted my base to be much more natural so I avoided any really bright eyeshadows and just did a thick coat of mascara rather than use any eyeliner. TIP: I really like how a dewy look compliments the pearls! Get this using a highlighter – my fav is Laura Mercier’s Face Illuminator Powder – on your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and in the narrow curve between your lips. Apply it sparingly if you’re just starting out because you can alwayyysss add more!
Step 2. Start applying your pearls from the outside corner of your eye and work your way inward…(I literally got my pearls at Michaels). Use tweezers! Because the pearls are small, you’ll need something to give you a better grip. Apply a small amount of eyelash glue (DUO works great for this!) to the base of the pearl and press on to the base of your lid. Hold for 10 seconds and voilá!
Step 3. Add a bold lip! I love a red to make it festive because, it’s never too early right ;). I love how a bright lip makes the whole look come together. So try it out and let me know what you think!
This makeup look is too beautiful!
