Excited to finally share one of the hairstyles from my NYFW collaboration with the official haircare sponsor of Merecedes Benz Fashion Week, TRESemmé. This twisted fishtail side braid was one of many favorite looks created by TRESemmé stylist, Katie, at the Trend Bar & Salon located inside Lincoln Center. This look was just the break I needed from my overly abused scruffy ponytail…occasionally it’s nice to not worry about peeling hair from your lipgloss every 2 seconds. I decided to go with this braid style as it was our busiest day of fashion week and with all the running around it was the easiest to manage and maintain.
Quick recap of Katie’s steps: side part, french braid following hairline, tie off braid with a plastic band, repeat these steps on the opposite side (smaller braid), use your hands through the braid to loosen the tight finish (the more the better!), fishtail the remainder of the hair where the bands meet, twist fishtail into anoff center bun and pin. Katie finished off the look by misting TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray to keep the style lasting all throughout a busy day running around. Easy enough?!
