NOMADIC NIGHT

Sharing the next tablescape with you guys from our series with Mayker! The theme for this one is Nomadic Night, inspired by some of our favorites from our Woven Collection. We really wanted to incorporate some of these amazing rafia pieces because each of them is so unique – handmade in Uganda from all natural fibers of raffia and sweet grass and organic dyes.

For our color scheme for this tablescape, we loved the high contrast of the black mixed with neutral tones pulled from the rafia. We used the started with the Striped Black Vase, Black Mbao Vase, and the Black Bud Vase as our hero pieces. We used them to line the table and began building out our tablescape from there. **TIP FROM MAYKER: It’s great to start with one element as your building block. That way you’re not getting overwhelmed, but you have a clear direction for color scheme and vibe. Once you have a hero piece(s) in place, you can build out your table from there.

I love this tablescape because it feels perfect for almost any occassion. The black makes it feel sleek and mod, but the rafia gives it more of a warmth that I’m always hoping to achieve in a space. More from our tablescape below – can’t wait to hear what you think.
