Nashville

City Guide

Welcome to Music City and my home for the past 8 years! Anyone who knows me knows how proud I am to live in Nashville. While I love that my job allows me to travel and see the world, nothing beats coming home to Nashville. From the music, to the food, to four true seasons… This city is unlike any other. There are many amazing places I want to share with you that make Nashville so special, but most importantly… it’s the people. I have met some of the kindest, most genuine soles that will go on to be life long friends. The warmth, kindness, and welcoming hearts of the people here is a true rarity and makes this culture is so special.

As one of the fastest growing cities in our nation, it’s been exciting to watch Nashville expanding to new markets and growing both culturally and creatively. There’s a lot to do so plan for a long weekend at least!

One of my favorite spots to grab Mexican located in the heart of East Nashville – super relaxed and they have the best queso that they top with chorizo and serve with these incredible puffed chips. But BE WARNED – their margaritas are STRONG – ha! But so good! A great place to go if you have a large group.

My alllll time fave any day of the week! The Garganelli Verde is SO yummy! The menu here is seasonal so it’s really fun because the food is constantly changing and feels fresh.

Nestled away in Germantown, this place is one of my faves! Amazing cocktails and incredible oysters on a summer night, Henrietta Red actually did an oyster bar at our wedding! My go to on the menu is the cauliflower bread loaf and beet risotto. The aesthetic is super dreamy too.

If you’re looking for something fresh and local, then Lockeland Table is your place. They play on farm to table community style dining but the food really is unrealll. Try the pappardelle with butternut squash cream!

My favorite brunch spot in Nashville, Marché has that French café vibe that automatically transports you. I love how they highlight local and seasonal products. Both the farm salad + frittata (when available) are great…. alsooo table side mimosas are fun with a crew!

Tex-mex favorite with the BEST street tacos in the city! Casual vibe with a neighborhood feel. Great for a chill date night or fun place to meet friends for a quick bite.

Everything on the menu is great but specifically love the butternut squash, carrots, Turkish hummus

Arguably one of the most well-done cocktail bars in Nashville. Speakeasy style, moody vibe, small interior. You’ll likely have to wait a bit to get in as they seat each person. Try the one fish two fish if you’re feelin something a little sweet. Don’t forget to sign the book when they deliver your check!

Best almond latte in town! Fave spot to stop in and grab to-go, or work from communal tables. Also fun black and white mural out front for pics. =)

Amazing spot in Edgehill right next to Barcelona – the perfect place to go if you’re waiting on a table or just wrapped up a meal. Dimly lit interior, good ambiance, and unique drinks. This place is a multi-level experience that’s worth the trip!

Creative cocktails, draft beer & wine offered in warehouse-style digs with trendy, restored decor. A secret door makes way to a very intimate 24 seat restaurant, that is incredible! make sure to make a reservation ahead of time.

Another fun latte spot near downtown! Love to go during a sunny day and sit on the patio… great view of the skyline. Try the avocado toast!

Set in a ca. 1900 blacksmith shop in Nashville’s historic Germantown neighborhood, Geist is a charming bar and restaurant opened in early 2018. Familiar experience with a timeless approach to internationally-influenced cuisine and classic cocktails highlighting the best ingredients found regionally.

Farm-to-table New American fare & craft cocktails are served in a chic digs, plus a basement bar. Located in the Gultch.

The Loveless Cafe remains unchanged in the quaint country charm and good cooking that has made it a landmark since its doors opened over 50 years ago. The southern cafe you were hoping with down-home dishes & a country vibe, plus eclectic on-site shops. My mouth is watering thinking of their biscuits.

The locals may be mad I am blasting their favorite hidden gem. Head over to the east side for a chic, modern outpost featuring Japanese small plates, ramen & sushi, plus craft cocktails & a patio.

A newer spot on scene and it is worth the hype. The dinner menu is broken down between snacks, small plates with a vegetable-heavy lean, larger mains, and of course pizzas. In my opinion the veggie dishes and the pizza are not to be missed!

Calling all meat lovers. Kayne prime is is perfect chic, jazzy, elevated spot for a classic steak meal. They also have incredible sushi and seafood platters. Something for everyone!

A breezy hangout serving seafood & beach-themed cocktails in stylish, nautical surroundings. This Chicago institution recently made its way to Nashville, and the brunch goers are SO happy about it!

A chic bar offering a roster of rock star-inspired cocktails, rows of community high-top tables and an impressive show kitchen, surrounded on three sides by counter seating. You can choose between 3 menus, the bar menu, dinner menu, or the chef’s menu, and you can’t go wrong with either of them.

Food, coffee, wine at ‘The Breakfast Through Dinner Coffeehouse.’ There are also a few locations in Nashville.

shoes and accessories, along with unique jewelry and gifts, home decor, and a spectacular collection of books.

Described as a ‘general store for the modern tastemaker.’ This neighborhood shop is full of eclectic clothing, home goods, art, jewelry, gifts, and more. A Nashville staple!

This little getaway space is truly unique… Each room has it’s own (enormous) copper or metal bathtub – It’s unbelievable! The ambience and décor is rustic chic and feels VERY Nashville. I definitely recommend this spot for a romantic weekend, or even just for dinner/drinks at their restaurant – Public House.
